Spooky things happen to gravity on Gravity Hill
People love strange things. Just about everyone likes to hear stories of ghosts, Bigfoot, UFOS, psychic phenomena, and other anomalies. When visiting the area near New Paris, Pennsylvania, those who enjoy seeking out the weird will want to stop by Gravity Hill, one of the strangest and most interesting places in the state. While many places claim to have these ‘gravity’ or ’spook’ hills, New Paris actually has two, which are located very close to one another. When people go to Gravity Hill out on Gravity Hill Road and stop at the designated area labeled with a large, white GH painted on the road, they will be in for a treat. When you put your car in neutral, it will begin to roll backwards up the hill, seemingly defying the laws of physics. It is an interesting experience to say the least. You can also take some water and pour it on the road and then watch as that, too, travels uphill. This is a fun place to go when you want to try something new – just make sure you are courteous to traffic that is traveling down the road. Everyone will have a blast trying to figure out what happened.
